MISSOURI UNION PRESBYTERY
COMMITTEE ON MINISTRY REPORT
May 25, 2010
ACTION ITEMS:
1. Motion that the Presbytery appoint the following moderators: Mary Ellen Waychoff for Chula PC effective immediately; John Marrs for Westminster PC, Versailles effective 7/1/10; and Randall Cone for Whiteside PC, Elsberry-Auburn PC, and Silex PC effective 6/1/10.
2. Motion to grant Bill Young the status of Honorably Retired 5/31/10.
3. Motion to recommend that if the way be clear, Presbytery concur with the vote of the congregation for dissolution of the pastoral relationship between Westminster PC, Versailles and Diane Miller, effective 6/30/10 and that Diane be granted the status of Honorably Retired as of 6/30/10.
4. Motion to request that the Presbytery appoint as Stated Supply the Rev. Roger Ricketts, a Cumberland Presbyterian Minister, to serve FPC of Palmyra effective 5/25/10.
Terms of the stated supply covenant are: Cash salary of $27,000; Housing allowance of $18,000; Reimbursement of professional expenses and mileage as authorized by the Session. Vacation of 30 days including 4 Sundays; Continuing Education of fourteen days including 2 Sundays.
5. a. Motion to examine for ordination and membership in MUP, candidate Dana Slavin.
b. Motion to appoint her Stated Supply Pastor effective 6/1/10 and moderator for the FPC of Memphis effective her ordination date.
Terms of the stated supply covenant are: Salary of $12,000, plus an additional $500 reimbursable allowance for books or other educational use and $1,200 reimbursable allowance at the prevailing IRS rate for mileage.
