MISSOURI UNION PRESBYTERY COMMITTEE ON MINISTRY SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT
May 25, 2010
ACTION ITEM:
1. Motion to examine for ordination and membership in MUP candidate R. Miranda Trussell in order that she may accept the call as Associate Pastor for Christian Education at FPC, Mexico effective mid-June. (Her ordination will take place in Grace Presbytery with an installation service to take place in MUP—date and commission to be named later.)
Terms of call are: Salary of $29,443; housing allowance of $10,557; full participation in Board of Pensions of $12,600; Dental coverage of $343; Mileage reimbursement at IRS rate up to $1,250; Self employment offset for Social Security of $3,060; Conference and book reimbursement of $1,667; Vacation of 30 days including 4 Sundays; Continuing Education of fourteen days including 2 Sundays; and Moving allowance of $3,500.
2. Motion that MUP grant COM permission to authorize the date and membership of the Commission for Installation for Ms. Trussell following her ordination.
3. Motion that MUP grant the request of the Session of FPC, Bowling Green for permission for Elder Chris Gamm to officiate at the Lord’s Supper on the following dates in 2010: 7/4, 8/1, 8/29, 10/3, 11/28, 12/24 and 12/25.
Rationale: Christ has been previously trained by the Rev. Murray Phillips to officiate at communion.
