Remuneration Guidelines for Pulpit Supply
(Guidelines reviewed and approved by Committee on Ministry Jan. 2007. Mileage changes effective as of July, 2011)
SUGGESTED PULPIT SUPPLY HONORARIUM (For preaching on the same day):
One Service: $ 75
Two Services: $ 115
Three Services: $ 165
PLUS, REIMBURSEMENT FOR MILEAGE. Travel is reimbursed at the IRS rate. In 2011 this rate is $0.555/mile.
EXPENSES (as vouchered)
One meal at $10 (if travel one way is over 50 miles)
Two meals $20 (if travel one way is over 100 mile)
If services begin early and one-way travel is over 100 miles, it is suggested that overnight housing be provided.
Suggested Honorarium for clergy to moderate Session or congregational meeting is $40.00, plus travel reimbursement of $0.44/mile. Remuneration is expected at the time of the service.
