MUP Grant to Hannibal Mentoring Project

Good News to Share! Presbytery Council has approved a grant from it’s MINISTRIES OF COMPASSION FUND to support the Hannibal Area Mentoring Program of Presbyterian Children Services. Rev. P.J. Southam and Mentor Coordinator Pam Adkison announced that Missouri Union Presbytery (in addition to 2009 budget funding and designated gift) approved a $500 grant at the Presbytery Council meeting on April 14. This additional support comes at a critical juncture as other long-term grant funding will be ending as of July 2009. This good news was shared with the Family Enrichment Ministry Mision Team at their regular monthly meeting at First Presbyterian-Hannibal on Tuesday, April 21. The Hannibal Area Mentoring Project serves at-risk children and families in Hannibal, New London and Palmyra. To serve as a mentor or find out how to support this ministry, call Pam Adkison or Rev. P.J. Southam.
