Received from Randall Cone:
Sorry to hear of the death of Charles Fugate. I knew him for many years, when he served at LaGrange and surrounding churches. He lived at Auxvasse when he served there.

I have been to his home and knew his wife and the children. One of them married the daughter of the furniture store owners then located near Auxvasse, which was a popular and successful business. He had a flair for preaching missions and conducted at least a few of them in our presbytery. He also worked and supported our church camps when they were held at Mark Twain Park.

We invited him to the Farber church for a preaching mission when I was the pastor there and he was very effective.
