I think that we Presbyterians, who are very active in our churches (part of the 20% that do %100 of the work), probably forget we should be encouraging the 80% to do stuff like read the Bible everyday, and talk about what God is doing in our lives. Reminders of these basic practices were good. And, the conflict piece was helpful. I know in my church, I’ve heard on more than one occasion, Oh, that’s just Bill,’ rather than holding an elder or member accountable for their behavior. It resonated with me.” Added with permission.
