Ministry that Matters–Agape House Vandalia

(Received 12/09/08) Recently I had the opportunity to stay at the Vandalia Agape House for a day. The folks visiting come from all walks of life and various ages and stages, and are interesting to meet and talk to. During my 24 hours, two groups of guests, neither of which had visited before, arrived.  A few hours later, one woman casually expressed her joy in finding such pleasant and safe surroundings.  Read more »

Eden Scholarship for Kris Schondelmeyer

Eden Seminary in St. Louis has selected Kris Schondelmeyer to receive the Walter S. Going Scholarship. This scholarship, created by Rev. Dr. Barbara G. Willock and her husband Mike, honors Barbara’s late father Walter S. Going.

Jazz Concert benefitting Heifer International in Jefferson City on MONDAY, Dec 22, 2008 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 1529 Southwest Blvd, Jefferson City, 65109 –7:00 to 8:30 p.m.  Dan Musselman Quartet, featuring Hermon Mehari on trumpet, Brian Steever on drums and Zach Beeson, bass.  Half of proceeds benefit Heifer International.

January 25 – April, 2009 Celtic Art Exhibit featuring artist Cynthia Matyi.  Reception with the artist on January 27, from 6:30-7:30 PM in the Harrington Center on the seminary campus.

 

January 27-29: Celtic Christianity for Today featuring J. January 29-February 1 Certificate in Spiritual Formation – Immersion Experience: An Invitation to a Deeper Spiritual Life (Weekend) Come and join us for this feast for the soul. Explore the origins of the Christian Spiritual Tradition. This course is the starting place for the certificate in Spiritual Formation; occasional students are welcome. Housing available on campus.
