Thanks for all your good work on the Women's Retreat this past weekend. I personally thought it was awesome. The "extras" were terrific!
Along with the excellent, short videos and information about Ukraine and Hungary, we had a menu of tasty Hungarian foods. It was great! Three years ago we had Scottish vegetable soup on Friday. Will we have Greek food next year? It seems like each year we have good food, good fun and serious food for thought. Can we forward information now to get this event on our 2009 calendars?
The Sunday morning closing worship is always good. Thanks to Dana Slavin for preaching this year and Mike Lewton for serving communion.
Watching "Pay It Forward" on Friday night was a wonderful introduction for so many of the subjects we discussed throughout the weekend. Good choice, Chriss! Thank you for your excellent presentations. Even the visit from 2 neighbor's goats at the sliding glass windows in dining room, as someone mentioned Heifer International was a dign of God's Grace.
Anne, the choice of songs was wonderful--the words and tunes related to the theme so well. The program and bulletins were also very good.
Thanks-Thanks-Thanks! Allegra
