Small Membership CE Curriculum Workshop
Friday Sept 26, participants from MUP and three other presbyteries of the Synod of Mid-America gathered at Heartland Center for a workshop to learn about a new curriculum being written for small membership churches. This curriculum combines traditional teaching methods used by most of our small membership churches, the workshop rotation model of CE, and consideration of multiples intelligences for learning. Thirteen people representing 9 churches worked with and experienced this curriculum. We learned to cut and tell a story to help keep the attention of the children, how to involve John Calvin and Martin Luther in helping chidlren memorize Scripture, and to make a world in the round. It was a full and enjoyable day!
