Mike Farrell, Keynote Media Lunch at GA

Actor and Human Rights Activist Mike Farrell will share stories and thoughts from his book “Just Call Me Mike” (to be released in paperback May 2008) in a keynote speech at the General Assembly Media Luncheon, hosted by Presbyterian Media Mission and the Presbyterian Communicators Network.
A conversation among those attending the luncheon will go beyond the TV shows that made Mike a household name. He writes in his book … “when I'm interviewed on TV or radio – the discussion may not be only about the shows. We're just as likely to talk about war, or peace, or human rights, or maybe even how I could possibly object to executions. I don't want to be put into somebody's category. I'd rather just talk and let whoever's listening take it in, see if it fits and figure out how they feel about it – maybe even why.” Lunch discussion will examine the role of the Church in the world and nation on a variety of issues regarding faith and life.
